What we do

MyTimeIs.com is a free world clock and time zone toolkit. We show the current local time for cities and countries worldwide, plus UTC, GMT, Unix timestamps, meeting planning, and educational resources about time standards.

How we synchronize time

Our live clocks use a two-layer approach:

  1. UTC reference sync – On page load and every five minutes, we query public UTC time APIs (including sources aligned with NIST time services) and measure round-trip latency to correct the browser clock.
  2. IANA time zones – Local times are computed with the browser’s Intl API and official IANA time zone database, including daylight saving transitions.

When network sync is unavailable, we fall back to your device clock and indicate that on screen. Under normal conditions, accuracy is typically within ±0.05–0.5 seconds depending on network latency.
